HOPE RETREAT DAY - (Dealing with Loss)
Finding a Reason to Hope

Presented by: Presented by: Fr. Lon Konold, OMI & Sr. Brenda Rose Szegedy, OSF

Change is the essence of life, and I am the learner. Loss interrupts the flow of my life... the death of a loved one, illness, life-changing disappointment such as economic change or job loss, rejection by a person or institution that means a great deal to me. How do I hope in the midst of life’s changes? What is God asking of me?

The day will include conferences, time for quiet reflection, optional sharing, opportunity for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, and Eucharist.

November 8, 2012

Registration: Thursday, November 8, 9:00am

Advent Day of Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina

A Retreat for Men & Women
Presented by:
Fr. Jim Deegan, OMI & Sr. Brenda Rose Szegedy, OSF

The Advent season offers an opportunity to nurture our inner life with God in a deeper way. Centering Prayer is one of the oldest forms of prayer in our Catholic tradition. This simple form of silent prayer invites us to become still before the Indwelling Presence of god in a stance of openness and surrender.
Our practice of Lectio Divina will focus on the scriptural readings of Advent which will help us to enter more deeply into the mystery of this sacred season.
The day will include presentations, opportunities to experience Centering Prayer and Lectio Divina. The sacrament of Reconciliation will also be available. We will conclude with the celebration of Eucharist.

Retreat Dates:

Wednesday, November 28, 2012

Registration: 9:00am
Concludes: 3:00pm
Suggested Offering: $35.00 (includes lunch)[Top]
